Jeff Maharaj
Jeff Maharaj Jeff Maharaj has been a secondary school administrator with the Durham District School Board since 2007, most recently as the centrally assigned System Lead for Equitable Education, Family of Schools and School Operations. Throughout his career, he has been a strong advocate for vice-principals and principals. He has held several leadership roles within OPC Durham including President and Secondary Terms and Conditions Representative. At the provincial level, Jeff has served as both a Provincial Councillor and an Executive Member for six years. He is honoured and excited to serve as provincial president in 2025–2026. Jeff believes that Ontario’s principals and vice-principals have a powerful collective voice. He sees the role of the OPC as working collaboratively with Members to organize and amplify that voice in support of school leaders across the province.

Amy Johnson
Amy Johnson Amy Johnson lives and works on the traditional, unceded and unsurrendered territory of the Algonquin people. She has been an administrator with the Renfrew County District School Board for 18 years as a principal in both panels as well as the System Lead for Equity, Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression. Amy has been involved with the OPC locally and at the provincial level for over a decade. She has also been one of the lead organizers of The Eastern Cooperative: a one-day OPC Professional Learning opportunity for 6 boards in the East Region. Amy is a tireless advocate for principals and vice-principals locally and across the province. She is a passionate educator and eager to continue to serve the OPC in the role of President-Elect. If you can’t find Amy engaged in an enthusiastic, professional debate with colleagues, you might be able to find her on the dance floor.

John Goheen
John Goheen

John Goheen has been an administrator for 20 years and is currently the principal of Hillcrest Public School in the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board. He has been an active member of his local OPC Executive and currently serves as a Director-at-Large on the Provincial Board of Directors. John has been an advocate for administrator wellness, workload and compensation throughout his career. When not at school, he is actively involved in minor hockey with his three sons, supporting community fundraising, and in political activities.

Colleen Golightly
Colleen Golightly

Colleen Golightly is looking forward to joining the Board of Directors and working on behalf of her administrator colleagues across the province. As a hands-on learner, Colleen was educated at the University of Windsor in its prestigious Drama in Education Program, obtaining her teaching degree with honours in 1996. She continued her education at Charles Sturt University with a Masters Degree in School Leadership in 2015. She has worked in collaboration with the Ministry of Education on curriculum writing, and with the Halton District School Board in developing programs that are inclusive and differentiated using universal design.

Since 2012, Colleen has served her local OPC as an Executive member in Halton. She is dedicated to supporting her principal and vice-principal colleagues across her district. Colleen joined the OPC Provincial Council in the 2022-23 school year, where she worked on several committees sharing her voice and input into the direction and stance of the OPC.

Jenni Guy
Jenni Guy

Jenni Guy is a collaborative and equity-minded leader who has served as an elementary principal in the Waterloo Region District School Board for the past 11 years. With a deep belief in the power of public education to transform lives and build a more just society, Jenni brings a strong commitment to transformational leadership and education as a pathway to liberation.

As a current member of the OPC Board of Directors and a Provincial Councillor for the past two years, Jenni advocates passionately for principals and vice principals as essential leaders during this critical time in Ontario’s public education landscape. She believes that school leaders have both the responsibility and the privilege to contribute to a system-wide reimagining of education—one rooted in the principles of social justice, human rights and decolonization, and grounded in the recognition of Indigenous sovereignty.

Jenni’s work is informed by her unwavering commitment to inclusive, student-centred learning environments and her belief that strong leadership from school administrators who are well-supported and valued for their professional expertise can help shape a public education system that truly serves all learners.

Kim Robertson
Kim Robertson

Kim Robertson has been a practising elementary school administrator with the Thames Valley District School Board since 2011. She is proficient in both English and French languages and has held roles in both French Immersion and English elementary schools. She also has a significant background in Health and Safety, serving as a Joint Health and Safety Co-Chair for eight years. Throughout her career, she has been a strong advocate for vice-principals and principals, fulfilling a variety of roles within the local OPC group including Local Leader, Terms and Conditions Lead and several terms as Elementary Advisory Council chair.

At the provincial level, Kim has served as both a Provincial Councillor and a Caucus Member on the Central Bargaining Team. She is honoured and excited to serve our organization in the role of Director-At-Large for the 2025–2026 school year. Kim firmly believes that principals and vice-principals have the requisite skills to hold our schools together, particularly in challenging times. She understands that administrators are both the fuel and the engine that drive our schools forward in doing what is best for students.

She is proud to serve Members locally and provincially and support the organization by advocating for workplace environments that prioritize both administrator well-being and student achievement.

David Boone
David Boone David Boone has been a secondary administrator for 11 years and is currently the principal of Bowmanville High School in the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board. With 24 years of experience in education across three different boards, David brings a broad and diverse perspective to his leadership. He has been an active member of his local OPC Executive for the past five years and currently serves as Chair. David is passionate about financial responsibility and is committed to strengthening the visibility and public profile of the OPC across the province. He remains a strong advocate for principals and vice-principals and is dedicated to fostering collaborative leadership at both the school and system levels.
Northwest Regional Director
Hillary Howe
Hillary Howe Hillary is currently the proud principal of C.D. Howe Public School in the Lakehead District School Board. Working, learning and leading in small northern boards have allowed Hillary to build a rich and diverse leadership portfolios as a vice-principal, principal and System Principal in both elementary and secondary panels. She joined her local OPC executive in 2017 and became an elementary Provincial Councillor in 2019. In 2022, Hillary was appointed to the OPC Provincial Executive as a Member-at-Large and served two terms as Vice-President. She remains deeply committed to the work of the OPC and believes in its power to bring principals and vice-principals together through professional learning, advocacy and authentic connection. Hillary is humbled to represent and serve school leaders across Ontario.
West Regional Director
Kathryn Archer
Kathryn Archer Kathy has been a vice-principal, principal and now system principal with the Bluewater District School Board for the last 15 years. She began her journey in education as a secondary teacher 25 years ago. Over the years, she has been involved with Central Health and Safety, Mentoring of New Administrators and the amalgamations of schools, as well as overseeing a new K-12 build. In 2021, Kathy joined her local executive as the Secondary Provincial Councillor. It has been an absolute pleasure for Kathy to work with the OPC and see the power in our collective advocacy for administrators across the province.
Central East Regional Director
Harry Stegenga
Harry Stegenga

Harry Stegenga brings over 29 years of dedicated service in education, including 19 years as an administrator with the Simcoe County District School Board. His leadership journey has been marked by a deep commitment to student success, equity and professional advocacy.

Harry has been an active and influential member of the Simcoe Local OPC Executive for 13 years, where he served in multiple capacities including Secretary, Treasurer, President, and most recently as Provincial Councillor. His contributions have extended to key initiatives such as negotiating the SIF fund agreement, participating on the Terms and Conditions negotiation team and organizing impactful professional development opportunities for principals and vice-principals.

Currently, Harry supports at-risk youth aged 16–21 at Simcoe Shores Secondary School. His work focuses on creating inclusive pathways to achievement for students facing systemic barriers, personal challenges and complex lived experiences. His passion lies in ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their circumstances.

Harry is humbled and excited to represent the Central East Region on the OPC Board of Directors. He is committed to fostering transparency, consultation and open communication to support school leaders across Ontario, while strengthening the vital role the OPC plays in public education.

Northeast Regional Director
Stephen Winckel
Stephen Winckel

Stephen Winckel has been an OPC Provincial Councillor since 2023. He began his teaching career in Sudbury in 1998, was appointed vice-principal in 2004 and has served the past 18 years as an elementary principal, leading in diverse settings including rural, urban and French Immersion schools.

Stephen has been a dedicated member of the Rainbow District School Board Principals’ Association Executive since 2018. He is an advocate for mentorship and leadership, with a track record of supporting the professional growth of vice-principals throughout his years as an administrator. Stephen brings a systems-thinking approach to both his daily practice and board-level collaboration. He is deeply committed to fostering collaborative leadership at both the school and system levels, and to strengthening provincial efforts to support and develop leaders across Ontario’s public education system.

Stephen believes in the importance of finding humour and building positive relationships with staff, seeing these as essential guiding principles for effective and inspiring leadership.

Metro Regional Director
Alisa Cashore
Alisa Cashore

Alisa Cashore has been a secondary school administrator within the Toronto District School Board since 2008. She has served in diverse educational environments, leading schools in varied communities across Toronto. This experience has provided her with a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by school leaders in different contexts.

Alisa served for four years as the Centrally Assigned Principal for Secondary Teaching, Employee Services. Currently, she is the Chair of the Toronto School Administrators’ Association (TSAA). In this capacity, she provides support, advocacy and representation to TSAA Members.

Alisa has been a Provincial Councillor with the OPC since 2023, contributing to provincial discussions and decisions that impact school leadership across Ontario. She is looking forward to deepening her involvement with the OPC in her role as Regional Director for the Metro Region.

Central West Regional Director
Natalie Gonsalves
Natalie Gonsalves

Natalie Gonsalves has been an elementary administrator since 2012, serving students from Kindergarten through to Grade 8. She has led a diverse selection of schools in the Peel District School Board. French Immersion, Special Education, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Parent Engagement, New Teacher recruitment and development have been key areas of leadership focus over the years. Natalie has promoted student leadership initiatives through Black Student Alliance groups, building an Eco-School, outdoor classrooms and youth exchanges across Canada and to Northern Arctic communities.

In 2012, Natalie became an active member of the Peel District School Board’s local OPC Executive, serving to advocate for principals and vice-principals in the second largest board in Ontario. She served in various roles, including Terms and Conditions Co-Chair, Scholarship and Awards Co-Chair, Negotiations Team Member and Provincial Councillor.

Natalie is honoured to serve on the Provincial Board of Directors to continue to advocate for principals and vice-principals across the province. It is with great enthusiasm that she makes this connection with colleagues to continue to support our leadership and wellness journey.

East Regional Director
Jen Lendrum
Jen Lendrum

Jennifer Lendrum graduated with a Bachelor of Education in 1998 and began her career as an educator in Ontario. Growing up in the Ottawa Valley, she has a deep-rooted connection to Eastern Ontario. As a principal in the Limestone District School Board, her experiences as both a student and an educator provide her with a unique and valuable perspective, particularly important for the Regional Director for Eastern Region.

As an administrator for 17 years, Jennifer has led five schools. She has been actively involved in system-wide initiatives and has served on the local OPC legacy group for over a decade. This work led her to involvement with OPC Provincial, where she has contributed for the past four years. As an OPC Councilor, Jennifer has gained invaluable insight into the struggles, challenges and successes of administrators across the province.

Relationship-building and networking are at the core of the Regional Director role, and Jennifer is committed to strengthening these connections to drive positive change for OPC Members.

Kulbir Dhaliwal
Kulbir Dhaliwal

Kulbir Singh Dhaliwal is an experienced educator with over 20 years in the field, commencing his career with the Peel District School Board in 2005. He worked as a teacher for 10 years before pursuing school leadership in 2015. Kulbir has been a principal with the Simcoe County District School Board since 2019. His primary goal is to foster safe spaces for staff, students and families by addressing systemic oppression and offering justice-centred, solutions-based approaches.

Kulbir actively and passionately engages in professional learning, collaboration and visionary leadership. He centres the interactions of marginalized identities in the school system, while also reflecting on his unique lived experiences as a first generation, South Asian-Canadian. As an educator, Kulbir has supported numerous students and families through mental health challenges, transitions to school and fostering well-being. He has supported his colleagues through his roles as chair and equity representative of OPC Simcoe, co-facilitator of affinity spaces, EDI committee chair and through provincial and local negotiations. Kulbir’s commitment to equity and inclusion led him to complete his Master of Education in 2023, focusing on Inclusive Education.

As a board member, Kulbir aims to collaboratively contribute by elevating traditionally underrepresented perspectives, acknowledging the experiences of administrators in Ontario and guiding effective decision making processes. In his personal life, Kulbir is a proud father of two children.

Executive Director
Nadine Trépanier-Bisson
Nadine Trépanier-Bisson

Nadine Trépanier-Bisson is the Executive Director of the OPC. She is committed to high quality public education for all students, and research-based practical professional learning for school and system leaders.

Nadine has been an educator for over 25 years. She has served as Executive Director for l’Association des directions et directions adjointes des écoles franco-ontariennes (ADFO), developing working relationships with many partner education organizations in Canada and internationally, and had been a system and elementary principal in the French language sector. She served as the OPC’s Director of Professional Learning for three years.

Committed to evidence-based strategies for learning, leadership and conflict management, Nadine values collaboration and relationships. She continues to focus her efforts on building capacity within the OPC and among school leaders to create anti-colonial and anti-oppressive environments.

As Executive Director, Nadine shifts her focus to include management of the OPC’s operations including International School Leadership (ISL), collaboration with our stakeholders on matters of common interest, advocating for high quality public education and working with the affiliated organization, Principal Association Projects (a service partner with the Ministry of Education providing high-quality professional development to Ontario’s principals and vice-principals).

As a bilingual lifelong learner, Nadine holds an Executive Certificate in Alternate Dispute Resolution, is a certified Technology of Participation Facilitator and completed her Doctorate of Education (EdD) in the area of International Education in 2022.

Indigenous Director
Colinda Clyne
Colinda Clyne

An educator for over 30 years, Colinda Clyne is Anishinaabe kwe, a member of Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg and Coordinating Principal for Indigenous Education at the Upper Grand District School Board, a position she has held for the past three years. Colinda has been leading and facilitating professional development within her board and across the country for 20 years. Grounded in a strong cultural identity, she leads with purpose and passion with a deep commitment to serving Indigenous students, families and community. As a bridge-builder, she fosters respectful relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous colleagues, creating collaborative pathways toward understanding and affecting systemic change. Her leadership is rooted in action, with a sharp focus on implementing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action within education systems.

With a strong sense of responsibility, Colinda advocates for culturally responsive practices and supports staff in doing the same. To that end, she has worked to improve Indigenous Education in a range of capacities: as a member of the OPC EDI System Leads, writing and facilitating Additional Qualification and pre-service courses, hosting the podcast Anti-Racist Educator Reads and working as a writer and Indigenous content consultant for a number of Canadian publishers. Colinda is committed to empowering others, not only by leading change, but by inspiring it through mentorship, guidance and accountability.

Christina Saunders
Christina Saunders

Christina Saunders (Iskwe) is a centrally assigned principal (Caring and Safe Schools) with the Toronto District School Board, where she leads with a deep commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, equity, inclusion and student well-being. She supports principals and vice-principals across the district in fostering safe and caring environments, guiding restorative practices and coordinating multidisciplinary responses to complex student needs.

Christina is a proud member of the Ontario Principals’ Council (OPC) Indigenous Leadership Circle and the OPC Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee, where she contributes to provincial conversations on inclusive leadership and systemic change. Her lived experience and work in Indigenous Education focuses on centering Indigenous perspectives into school programming, building relationships with communities and knowledge keepers and advocating for culturally responsive practices.

With extensive experience in school leadership and crisis response, Christina is known for her thoughtful, collaborative approach and her unwavering dedication to creating spaces where every student feels seen, supported and empowered to thrive.
